Podocarpus Elatus Fruit Extract description

_Podocarpus elatus_ fruit extract comes from a tree native to Australia also known as the plum pine, Illawarra plum, or Queensland Christmas Tree. Research finds that Illawarra plum fruit is high in antioxidant-rich phenolic compounds, including gallic acid and ellagic acid. Gallic acid in particular is beneficial because in addition to its free-radical fighting properties, studies find it also has soothing benefits and can fade dark spots and uneven tone. _Podocarpus elatu_s fruit extract is included in a commercial ingredient blend including water, glycerin, _Terminalia ferdinandiana_ fruit extract, and _Pleiogynium timoriense_ fruit extract (the latter two of which are other types of Australian plums). This blend is known by the trade name Wildplum Harvest™ AF. Recommended use levels of this branded blend are 1–2%.
