Glycereth-18 description

Glycereth-18 is a synthetic glycerin-based ingredient used as a humectant (hydration-boosting agent) in skin care and other cosmetics formulations. It also functions as a skin-conditioning (moisturizing) agent. In 2021, the independent Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel deemed glycereth-18 safe as it is used in cosmetics. Their report looked at products using glycereth-18 in concentrations up to 0.32% maximum.
