Zingiber Aromaticus Extract description

_Zingiber aromaticus_ extract, also called _Zingiber aromaticum_, is taken from a plant in the ginger family commonly known as fragrant ginger. Somewhat confusingly, while there is a _Zingiber aromaticus_/_aromaticum_ variety of the ginger plant, it is not a separate species from the more commonly known ginger, _Zingiber zerumbet_. In fact, the terms are often used synonymously. That said, _Zingiber aromaticus_ extract is a good source of zerumbone, an antioxidant compound that research also shows has a visible impact on dark circles under eyes and can help reduce eye-area puffiness. Recommended use levels of _Zingiber aromaticus_ extract in cosmetics is 0.1–1%.
