Why you must always use an spf
Many people think they only need to protect themselves from UV rays when the sun is shining. And then only in the spring and summer. That is a misconception: UV rays affect your skin 365 days a year, so even in winter.
Most significant cause of ageing skin
The harmful rays of the sun are the most significant cause of signs of ageing skin, such as brown spots, wrinkles and a dull skin tone. The harmful rays can even lead to skin cancer. Did you know that UV rays pass through windows and are even harmful to your skin on cloudy, misty and rainy days? You are only partially protected when you sit in the shade or wear a sun hat. Surfaces such as water, sand, concrete, grass, snow and ice reflect the sunlight onto your skin, giving you an even larger dose of the sun’s rays. So protect your skin optimally from UV rays every day.
How to use a sunscreen product
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30 every day
- Apply the product generously to all parts of the body that are exposed to the sun.
- Apply the product fifteen to twenty minutes before going outside.
- Repeat this regularly, especially if you are outside a lot of the time, perspiring or have been swimming.
