Sweet almond (AKA _Prunus amygdalus dulcis_) is a type of almond tree. Although there are many ingredients derived from this plant, the most common is _Prunus amygdalus dulcis_ (sweet almond) oil. It’s also used as an extract, protein, powder, and various forms that utilize fatty acids from almond oil. The non-fragrant oil is considered safe for use and functions as an emollient.
