This mild Clear Purifying Clay Mask contains various types of clay that quickly absorb excess oil, reducing shine and making enlarged pores less visible. In addition, this mask contains ingredients that purify acne-prone skin and soothe redness. Improve the look and feel of acne-prone skin after a few uses.

How to use
After cleansing your skin, apply a generous layer to your face and neck. You can also just apply the mask to any oily and/or breakout-prone areas. Leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use as often as necessary or preferred. For nighttime follow with a serum or moisturiser. For daytime, always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.

Applies and sets really well on the skin. I use once a week after cleansing as an extra boost for my skin. It makes it feel clean and not oily at all, and my toner, exfoliant and moisturiser feel great when I apply them after I’ve cleaned it off. It does stay on very well so I do need a flannel and not just water to remove all of it. I am definitely very happy with this product and will keep using regularly.

So creamy and doesn’t dry my skin out although I have normal to dry skin. A little bit drying so need to make sure to use a heavy moisturiser afterwards and make sure it doesn’t stay on the skin while dry for too long.Really love Paula’s Choice products. What is the difference between the Clear Purifying Clay Mask and the Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask?
The Clear Purifying Mask absorbs excess oil a little better than the Skin Balancing Mask, because it contains three different clays and a mineral starch mixture. The Clear Mask is specially formulated for the specific needs of acne-prone skin. This mask helps prevent breakouts and soothes redness. The Skin Balancing Mask is primarily formulated to control oily skin and reduce the visibility of enlarged pores. Both masks are easy to rinse off and do not dry out the skin.
What is the use of the 0.5% salicylic acid (BHA) in the Clear Purifying Clay Mask?
The percentage of salicylic acid (0.5%) in this mask ensures that other ingredients can penetrate deeper into the pores, making them even more effective. A low concentration of salicylic acid slightly exfoliates the skin, but this cannot be compared to our leave-on exfoliants with a higher concentration of 1 to 2%.
Can I leave the Clear Purifying Clay Mask on overnight?
The Clear Purifying Mask works effectively within 10 minutes and is not a leave-on mask. During that time, the maximum effect is achieved without drying the skin. All clay masks can dry out the skin if they have been left on for too long. For this product, we recommend rinsing off with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.
Can I recycle this product?
This packaging is made of two components. The tube is made from EVOH plastic and the cap is made from PP plastic. Please check with your local council before recycling this product.

Expert Advice
Bought this as I decided to try again being it was a PC product and I'm at war with my blackheads. This did remove my blackheads but not on the 1st application. I had to use a nose strip, and then the next day use the mask. And my blackheads are not as bad, they take longer to come back and there isn't as many as before. But I do have to use this in combination with a nose strip. This mask didn't dry my skin out and it does help during my period when I'm prone to breaking out.
