Sunscreens with SPF 30 or higher

Why should I use an SPF 30 sunscreen?
You should use an SPF 30 if you will be out in the sun for an extended period of time, or when you will routinely be in direct sunlight (such as during the summer or if you live in a sunny climate).
If I am swimming, how often do I need to reapply my sunscreen?
Reapply after swimming, exercising, or perspiring for more than 40 minutes.
Is an SPF 30 sunscreen okay for kids?
Anytime you use a product on a baby or child you should get your doctor's permission. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (www.aap.org) the preferred method of sun protection for babies under 6 months is "Avoiding sun exposure and dressing infants in lightweight long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and brimmed hats are still the top recommendations from the AAP to prevent sunburn. However, when adequate clothing and shade are not available, parents can apply a minimal amount of suncreen to small areas, such as the infant's face and the back of the hands."
Why do SPF 30 sunscreens feel greasier than SPF 15 sunscreens?
SPF 30 sunscreens contain a higher percentage of active ingredients in order to obtain the greater SPF rating. In addition, our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30 contains a water-resistant agent, which makes it feel a little heavier on skin.
Why do I still get a tan when I wear the SPF 30 sunscreen?
Even the most effective sunscreens can still allow up to 3% of UV light to get to your skin. For some people, particularly those with medium to deep complexions (who typically tan easily) this can be enough to generate a melanin (tanning) response. That is why it is important to use sunscreen along with other protective measures, such as long sleeves, hats, and sunglasses. It also helps to try to avoid the sun when it is at its strongest (between 10:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m.). Application is also an issue. Liberal application, placed on skin at least 20 minutes before you go outside, is essential to guarantee optimal protection. And don't forget it's essential to reapply sunscreen after exercising, swimming, or simply on long days outdoors when avoiding the sun is not an option. Also keep in mind that "sunning" with any sunscreen will still generate sun damage. It is critical to always be careful and cautious about sun exposure.
Is Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray suitable for blemish-prone skin?
Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray contains no thickening agents and its active ingredients are less likely to trigger or exacerbate blemishes. Although it is impossible to state with 100% certainty that someone will not break out from a sunscreen, the texture and finish of Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray is highly unlikely to cause such problems. Oftentimes what causes breakouts from sunscreens is either the occlusive active ingredients or thickening agents used to suspend them and create the product’s texture.
Can Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray be worn under makeup?
Yes. Allow several moments for it to absorb before applying foundation and proceeding with the rest of your makeup application.
